About This Event
Experience science brought to life at Tatton Park this May half term. Including trails in the Garden and Mansion and talks and demos at the Farm, the programme is fun and engaging for the whole family! See the website for opening times and prices. Science is all around us in our day-to-day life and this year, you can learn all about where food comes from and it’s journey from ‘field to fork.’
Caterpillar Trail: visit the Kitchen Garden to identify ingredients for a tasty salad and have a go at making your own biodegradable plant pot
Field to Fork Garden Trail: learn about the tasty and unusual foods grown in our gardens, both today and in the past
Field to Fork Parkland Trail: explore the parkland to discover how it historically provided a source of food for the estate and how it is managed today
Field to Fork Mansion Trail: find the missing ingredients for Chef Joubert’s recipe and explore the Mansion to learn about preparations for the Costume Ball
Field to Fork Farm App: discover technology and innovation at the Farm using our brand new app, including a kids trail and plenty of content for adults too
Farm Talks and Demos: activities advertised on the day and delivered by our Farm team – typical activities include hatchery talks and milking demos
Chocolate Making Workshop: learn the science behind chocolate making and follow the story of it’s creation from ‘bean to bar.’ This event must be pre-booked and has a ticket fee per participant, find out more and book here.
